Pastor’s Welcome

Pastor’s Welcome

Hello, I’m Pastor Andrew Martin, and I want to welcome you to the website for Lumberton Mission Church. Thank you for taking the time to learn more about our community!

With this in mind, please allow me to share a little about myself and my family. My wife Heather and I both grew up in Charlottesville, VA, and I also spent seven years of my childhood in Thailand. Heather and I met at the end of high school in 2003 and were married in 2008. Since then, we have been blessed with four children whom we love dearly.

Over the years, I have been very blessed to serve in a variety of settings. In 2008, I graduated from the U.S. Naval Academy and served on active duty as an Officer in the U.S. Navy until 2014. Heather and I then moved to St. Louis, MO, where I completed a Master of Divinity (M. Div.) at Covenant Theological Seminary.

After graduating from Covenant Seminary in 2018, we moved to Roanoke, VA, where I served as the Associate Pastor for Youth Ministry at Christ the King Presbyterian Church (PCA). In July 2024, Heather and I moved to Lumberton with our family to help start Lumberton Mission Church (PCA). We are very fortunate to call the city of Lumberton and Robeson County our home!

Heather and I love going on walks and gardening. I enjoy playing basketball and the guitar and studying Spanish and Haitian Creole. I also love talking with people and getting to know my neighbors.

Thanks again for taking the time to learn more about us and Lumberton Mission Church. I invite you to learn more by visiting the “Who We Are” page on our website. We’d also love to connect with you as well. Please feel free to connect with us by visiting the “Connect With Us” page. We hope to meet you soon!

Sincerely,

Pastor Andrew
